Welcome to our second virtual balloon race.

Scoil Mhuire PFA (Parents and Friends Association) work together to raise additional funds for the school to enhance the educational experience for the school pupils. We are currently raising funds for outdoor play and learning equipment for the school.

There is a national (Ireland only) 'International Women's Day' Balloon Race starting at 12 noon on the 8th March from St. Peter's Square, Manchester (UK) and we would love you to take part.

You can design your own virtual balloon by choosing the Shape, colour and even how much it weighs by choosing how much helium you fill it with.

The computer simulated race uses real-time weather data so just like a real balloon race, your balloon could be affected by the weather, wind speed, the shape you choose, and a popped balloon could still win.

After the race starts, you can follow your own balloons online and see just where they are in the race at any time. The race lasts 7 days and the winners will be the balloons that reach the furthest point in a straight line at the end of the 7 days.

Each balloon costs €5. You can buy as many balloons as you like and get all your family involved.

The national (Ireland only) prizes supplied by ecoracing:
1. First prize is €250
2. 5 subsequent winners will each get a €10 book token.

1. First prize is €65
2. Second prize is €50 Smyths voucher
3. Third prize is €35
4. Fourth prize is a ‘Harry Potter Potions Class’ Lego Set
5. Fifth prize is a ‘Harry Potter Race to the Triwizard Cup’ Board Game
6. Sixth prize is a ‘Harry Potter Race to the Triwizard Cup’ Board Game
7. Seventh prize is a ‘Whac-A-Mole’ game
8. Eighth to Eleventh prizes will each be a €15 One4all voucher
9. Twelfth to Twentieth prizes will each be an Easter Egg
